Military magic

There is nothing nicer on an English Rose complexion than a bit of khaki. I live in it! And well, Miss Pie is a bit of a mini me on occasion, so here she is rocking the military chic! With her new friends for life, Miss Livs and Mister Henry. Miss Pie is in a gorgeous dress from Bangalore that Miss Livs has grown out of, and Miss Livs is in a dress that Miss Pie is hoping to grow into! The perfect swish arrangement x

a windy day on the heath

What does a gal wear to go for one's first foray on the windy wilderness that is Hampstead Heath? Well, stripey tights are the first obvious choice. and what abou a denim ra ra skirt? But warm it all up with a hugely marvellous bottle green chunky arran sweater hand knitted especially for you by your great late grandma Phyl. Comfy and chic!

holding on to summer

In an attempt to get the most wear out of our beautiful summer dresses, we've been experimenting with layers. Spotty green tee with flowery green dress. And thick socks! Keep your fingers crossed for the last of the summer sunshine...

Miss Mousie shows us how it's done down under

Miss Pie's best mate in the world (and actually is worldwide as she has been relocated far far away from Miss Pie, from London to Brisbane ) has been showing us how to work the sometimes tricky fashion staple, the fur Gilet. Mixing it up with animal print and stripes, she rocks!

a new season!

Miss Pie's look is becoming quite defined. She has outgrown nearly all her summer gear and has moved up into the heady size of 18-24 months! Wooo. Looking forward to our autumn winter wardrobe choices. Mama and Miss Pie will be mini-me-ing together in military and khaki.

It's nautical, nautical all the way. Ahoy!

Flame haired lovelies across the world heave a sigh of relief whenever the trend looks to the sea and turns nautical. does anything look nicer with red hair than classic al time favourite blue and white ? We at What Miss Pie Wore Today think not.

glamming it up with Godmama Tracy

Miss Pie is extremely lucky and has two of the worlds most glamorous ladies as her extra special Godmamas. (she has the other most glam lady as her auntie but that's another story)

Here she is with Godmama Kimmy, who it is extremely hard to look as gorgeous as (I know from long experience!) but I think Miss Pie is holding her own rather well in the cutest floral sundress ever. Godmamas rock

if toddlers had a school uniform

... surely Miss Pie wears it the best! She reminded me of the tiniest little Kawaii schoolchild ever this morning, in her navy blue TU tee with ruffledy neck detail, her navy blue Gap sailor jacket, blue denim raffled RaRa skirt (H&M) and then funky multitonal stripey Gap socks. Red StartRite shoes were the only contrasting item... ( but well, she is her mother's daughter after all). Unfortunately Miss Pie wasn't in the mood for photos particularly this morning but she let me get the general idea across. Kawaii!!

Bed head hair and Fairy outfits

Here's Miss Pie with her very favourite Polar Bear Mr Iorek Byrnisson. And a pair of Avatar shades.

And here she is dressed as a fairy. Decided the white Tutu was a bit scratchy on her poor midgebitten legs so we put a softer tea rose coloured one on instead. Simples! Happy Bobbin.

Thanks Mel & Matt (& Tizz)

Here's a beautiful beautiful dress that Miss Pie was given by her good friends Mel Matt and Tizz. it was very carefully chosen to show off the red flaming locks and is one of her all time favourites! See her Heathcliffing it up at the window watching mama put out the washing. CUUUUUUTE.

Summer Lovely

She's resplendent on this rainy hot day in yellow Tee and her lovely limey tutu. I expect she will later accessorise this with a co-ordinating hat and sandals and lots of sunblock, but here's how she looked before leaving the house. Rock on, sunshine

Best outfit for a while... Little Pirate!

The week in a nutshell

MIss Pie has been busy! Busy being a poorly bee and so the posts have not been very forthcoming. But you know, we have been trying still. A day of stripes when she wasn't all that well visiting our favourite flowershop GINGERLILY, on Friday. A sunhat with Daddy Pie on Saturday, dressing up with face paint ladybirds (awww) and very very excitingly, her FIRST SHOES on Monday. Look her go! No fear in these wee babies...

skinny jeans and studded belts. Minime!

Lil Miss Pie has got quite into her grown up skinny jeans and studded belt look. Here she is trying to master her birthday scooter while wearing the jeans etc and her gorgeous bottle green jumper knitted for her by her dearly departed Grandma Phyl who died this month :o(
Of course her special paneweasel is there, matching the hair and the orange socks. what a rocker

Spots, stripes and studs. Killer combo

Very grown up today... And who says spots and stripes don't mix? The fab studded belt was also from Em and Joey, loveit!!! We went out to a fancy highbury restaurant for lunch after this, and Miss Pie had her first babyccino :) so cosmopolitan. Also, how relaxed does she look just leaning against the pouffe there? Casual, Miss Pie, casual.

Don't Mess with my TuTu

Today was cold and dingy - and that meant we wanted to goth it up a touch with a deep purple theme. So Gap playtime essentials Tee, spotty next tights and a lovely H&M birthday Tutu which was a pressie from Emma and Joey (Joey nicks Tutus off the girls hah). Resplendent! Except the Tutu is a bit big and was replaced with a denim one. xx

Wild Thing!

Miss Pie's great buddy from next-door-but-one had a fancy dress 1st birthday party. Now, Mama pie has not got a lot of money for costumes but she makes up for this with enthusiasm and a stubbornly creative streak, so she made the Pie into a WILD THING! All ready for a wild rumpus, in a customised sleepsuit and homemade wildthing hat! It was actually quite easy to make. I will show you how if you want one too. :O)

Rock chick chicky rock

Here at Pie HQ, we aspire to be fairly Rock'n'Roll. So when Miss Pie decided it was Tutu-Time, we had to team it up with a glow-in-the-dark skellington pyjama top. Hella yeah. And I thought I'd join in the matchy-matchy-mini-me fun. Well why not?

Marvellous Monochrome

Miss Pie is apparently past the stage where babes can only see in black and white, but she sure knows how to enjoy a spot of monochrome fun. This outfit is almost all comprised of gifts, the Green Baby tights were from Jojo, Benetton dress from Sarah Patel, and the tee one of the many lovely freecycle things we have acquired along the way. I bought the bib. Woo, big spender, mamapie!

Things Miss Pie has worn before...

These are some previous outfits for The Bobbin (as she is also known).
A slightly medieval look sporting a romper on a hot May day. This cutie was a present from godmama Alice.
A pink (only hot pink gets into this flame-haired lovely's wardrobe) bodysuit and sparkly medallion, and the ever-present Pan-Weasel. The turquoise wonderdress which I adore is accessorised perfectly with matching Topshop bag...
And then we have a great casual denim dungerdress, Uggs (yes, real Uggs! for a baby! from Auntie Emms in Australia) and multicoloured beads. These were a 'well done Miss Pie' pressie from her first ever foray to Primarni. She behaved impeccably and politely but firmly requested these beads as a treat, which i must admit, she well deserved. She wears them whenever she can. Very dashing they are too.

What Miss Pie wore today!

To celebrate her favourite uncle's birthday, today Miss Pie was resplendent in a lilac and brown Baby Gap long sleeve babygro, brown floral dribblebib, a lime green Tutu, a pea green swing cardigan, (crocheted by MOI) and sparkly gold lurex tights. Oh, and a green glittery hairclip. FASHY FASHY!
